Imagine the scene its January 10th 1985 and a bold vision of the Future of Electric Transportation was released at Alexandra Palace London. Sir Clive Sinclairs C5 promised affordable, eco friendly, urban mobility like nothing else seen on British roads.
Powered by a 12v battery coupled to a 250w motor it reached a legal 15mph for upto 20 miles. Anyone over the age of 14 could ride this 3 wheel innovation. Even Sterling Moss took it for a spin.
This was a daring attempt to revolutionise personal transport, that was just 40 years to early !
